Stephen R. L. Clark’s 1982 Gifford lectures comprise the first five chapters of From Athens to Jerusalem, which he then expands in chapters 6–10. The lectures, representing a form of neo-Platonic Christian pluralism, assert that the love and pursuit of truth leads one beyond that which is empirically provable and into the realm of faith and toward knowledge of God.
